What is the time frame to trade forex when you start?
On the foreign exchange market, it is possible to negotiate in the short or even very short term, in the medium term and in the long term, depending on its profile. The units of time, as they are called, most popular are 1, 5 and 15 minutes, 1 and 4 hours and 1 day.
Each has advantages and disadvantages. We offer today to see the most appropriate timeframe when starting on the forex.
Generally, when you start on the foreign exchange market, you are tempted by very short time units, 1 and 5 minutes, because they give the impression of a strong activity that could quickly turn into a gain of money. Know that this is a mistake. Very short time units involve knowing how to quickly analyze many signals, a skill that is acquired only with experience.
Units of long or very long time are not suitable either for beginners. The signals are then few and the opportunities much more rare and then, it is not with a trade per week that you will effectively gain experience.
The ideal time unit to start trading on the foreign exchange market is from 15 minutes to 1 hour. It is therefore the medium-term charts that should be favored when lacking experience in forex trading. On this timeframe, you will have time to appreciate the trading signals, analyze them and position your positions accordingly. Once more seasoned, you will be able to test other units of time.
